I’ve known Michael and Elizabeth for a little over 5 years now. Michael was actually my husband’s roommate in college and was a groomsman in our wedding. Elizabeth I met shortly after moving to Colorado – only a few months after she met Michael. They were both single at the time, and over the years, I’ve had the joy to see their friendship blossom into a beautiful marriage today. And now they have their sweet little baby girl Eva! It’s wild to think back and see how their lives intersected and culminated to this moment – to them welcoming into their family their newborn daughter!
Now, let me just say, childbirth is never easy, but I think some extra credit needs to be given to Elizabeth (and other moms like her), who after hours of pushing, had to go the c-section route. So tough. I was shocked therefore when I showed up at their house and Elizabeth was moving around like a pro. Not that she needed to be, my goodness – lifestyle newborn sessions are traditionally pretty laid back! (Like, really, really laid back and easy-going!) But we had a blast, and I was honored and thrilled to join them in their Colorado Springs home for an at-home newborn session.
